What does Nano M1 do?
It punches dried bio samples
My Role in the project
These are the areas within project that I contributed
Defined mechanical interfaces including the sample-punching mechanism, plate movement path, maintenance access points, static-mitigation features, and an angle adjustable touchscreen.
Worked alongside electrical and software engineers and manufacturing partners to balance design intent with cost, reliability and ESD/safety constraints
Led the industrial design of Nano enclosure and sub-assemblies, focusing on a compact footprint, glove-friendly workflows and serviceability.
Created the full production CAD and technical drawings (with GD&T), aligning drafts/ parting lines and consolidating parts to reduce tooling complexity and handling.
Built and evaluated high-fidelity prototypes and simple jigs/fixtures, validating usability and repeatability against representative lab workflows.
Delivered renders and short interaction / maintenance clips to communicate design intent, core mechanisms, and service procedures.
